Happy Birthday America!

This is why we love summer, one fun weekend after another. As you know this Sunday is the 4th of July and there are plenty of fun activities planned. Trout Unlimited is sponsoring a Children's Fishing Derby for kids up to age 13. The event will take place at Franzhurst Lake and registration begins at 8:30am with the derby starting at 9:30am. After the fishing derby be sure to head to the park for an afternoon of fun. The afternoon kicks off early at 11am with a performance by the Salida Circus. From 12:30 to 4pm there will be a variety of music for your listening pleasure at the park. From 1-3pm there will be a host of family games to participate in also at the park. At 4pm be sure to get a good seat for the parade. After the parade head back down to the park to listen to some more great music and most importantly the fireworks at dusk.
