Fair Trade Toys

These great soft and flexible Frisbees are handmade in Guatemala using fair trade practices. In return for the amazing artistry that these Guatemalan women create, they are paid a fair wage and work under good conditions. The money they make crocheting Frisbees and other hand-made products enables their children to go to school and helps keeps them out of poverty in a country in which 56% of people now live below the poverty level. The crocheted Frisbee was first invented by a 3rd grade girl in South Carolina. The Frisbees come in two styles- one is softer and intended for indoor use while the other is thicker and is more suited for outside play. This safe and natural toy makes a great summertime gift or stash one in your picnic basket for a fun afternoon at the park. Kaleidoscope Toys is proud to support toys made using fair trade practices.
